Blogstorm Internet Marketing Map
Blogstorm is a blog which is already well worth subscribing to and this week Patrick Altoft has added another great feature with a map of UK based Internet Marketing bloggers. I think it was started as a response to Kieron’s post asking “Where are all the good UK blogs?” which has developed into a […]

Super Affiliates and E-mail

Super Affiliates and E-mail

Is it possible to become a super affiliate without sending a single e-mail campaign? Absolutely. E-mail is just one of many methods for marketing affiliate links. There are many super affiliates who don’t use e-mail at all. For instance, some affiliates run content sites that rely on organic traffic from search engines and other sources. There are […]

Sept 11, 2007

Sept 11, 2007
ShareASale will be closed for the day of September 11, 2007, in memory of those lives lost, and to honor the heroes from that morning and thousands of other mornings when peace was chosen over war. The events of September 11, 2001 touched millions of us both here in the United States of America, and abroad. For each life that was stolen, a memory and a legacy was left behind to carry - and for those who carry them, life has changed forever. Each year, we close our offices today and we encourage others to take this day in rememberance not only of what was lost, but also in celebration of everything that we have in our lives. The families of victims from that morning would give anything to spend one morning with their loved ones, we encourage you to go out and live today to the fullest that you can. Affiliate Marketing can wait until another day. Pressing issues will be attended to, however, we encourage you to leave all but urgent issues until Wednesday.

We will never forget those who lost their lives, or those who gave their lives in the hope of saving another.

Recognizing that there may be urgent situations, although we hope that there are not, we have setup the following.

For urgent needs, Merchants are able to login to their accounts by visiting here: Merchant Login

For urgent needs, Affiliates are able to login to their account here: Affiliate Login

All tracking for transactions will be working as normal, however, any fees that ShareASale would normally collect will be donated to the International Relief Fund, managed by the Red Cross. Donations to this fund go towards helping the Red Cross assist and aid in tragedies that occur all over the world, and you can add your donation by visiting the Red Cross.

More use of Video by affiliates…
A while back, I blogged about the introduction of video into affiliate marketing, and how it was being used in the Dermacia program run by Schaaf Consulting. Well, I have another example for you and this one comes from the affiliate side of things…

Most affiliate marketers are familiar with Shawn Collins and Missy Ward as the two co-founders of Affiliate Summit, our industry’s largest in-person conference. However, they are also both well accomplished affiliate marketers, and they have begun a project which I believe shows good use of the new medium (video), combined with viral and community marketing aspects.

Here is how they describe it…

WeViews.tv features the video reviews of products and services used by Shawn Collins and Missy Ward. If you re wondering why the reviews are all pretty positive here, it s because we only review things we like and use on a regular basis.

Missy and Shawn are always on the hunt for new products and servces to review. Got something you d like us to consider? Submit your information in the form below and we ll be in touch.
If our product or service is accepted by use to review, we ll provide you with the respective address to send it to Missy or Shawn.

At the time of this writing, the most recent blog was about the HP 6310 that Missy uses in her office…

A well written review, and a link off to a ShareASale merchant(TheNerds.net)

:)

Video isn’t for everyone, but well produced and relevant product reviews is one area that I think will perform well, and kudos to Shawn and Missy for putting together a really nice project.

There’s a really interesting piece on Travel Rants which seems to show that TUI (the company who own Thomson Holidays) have acquired holiday review site Holidays Uncovered. It’s interesting to see that what is basically an affiliate site full of user generated content has been doing so well that it makes better business […]

Affiliate Network vs. Software

Affiliate Network vs. Software

Adwords Coupons Coming Back to Haunt Google Adwords
A while back I showed a example of people gaming adwords. I got a lot of emails from people asking how 1 person can have so many Adwords accounts and how could they possibly be making a profit on this. I believe there is a big problem going on right now with Google Adwords in […]

The Twelve Days of Affiliate Christmas

The Twelve Days of Affiliate Christmas
James Little has posted a nice duet singing video on his blog with Ken Cheung, “A Very Special Christmas Message.” The two guys do a singing/spoken word rendition of the Twelve Days of Affiliate Christmas. Thanks guys. Now, perhaps, people will have a greater appreciation for my Christmas singing.
